The central idea of the movie is vengeance, thus the movie is closely linked to the history of Second World War. In this movie, all top leaders of Nazi Germany like, Hitler, Goering, Goebbels and Bormann are attending a film premiere in Paris celebrating the heroic deed of a German fighter, who had successfully managed to slay over 300 American soldiers, who were stationed in Italy.
The movie timeframe dates back to June 1944, after the D-Day yet before the independence of Paris. The movie follows diverse attempts to assassinate Hitler by two different forces. Out of two, one is “Basterds”, a mixed people of Jewish American soldiers seem ready to take revenge against the Nazi leaders.
The Basterds have an exclusive motive to embark upon the plan of cutting off the scalp of a killed Nazi soldier, whilst the Basterds were having the orders to kill at least 100 Nazi soldiers. In this mass killing move, the
Basterds leave one German soldier to survive the incident, in order to communicate the news of harassment and terror of the deadly assaults of Basterds.
The Basterds had made their mind to engrave into the forehead of those killed German soldiers. The Basterds and Shosanna remained unaware of each other’s activities throughout the movie.
The ‘Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz) of the Waffen-SS, elated to be known as the “Jew Hunter”, was interrogating Perrier LaPadite (Denis Menochet), a French dairy farmer, as they had rumors that he had given shelter to a Jewish family, and the Jewish are hiding at his place.
Upon this Landa makes a raid over French dairy farmer’s location, and manages to locate the hidden Jewish family under the floorboards and directs his fighter’s to shoot and kill all except Shosanna.
